Contemporary Delphic Amphictyonia is a non-governmental organization (NGO) registered in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' records with the number 173. The goal of all the scientists, intellectuals and artists who voluntarily work for the development of Amphictyonia's actions is cultural, educational, and beneficial.

Amphictyonia's basic aim is to compose a cultural identity through a creative interaction of different traditions, trends, and waves.

Especially, Delphic Amphictyonia, through the research and the promotion of dialogue, aims at the connection of the Greek cultural and educational tradition with the current international pursuits.

So, Amphictyonia, through its actions, organizes programs of international collaboration and assistance in collaboration with services and agencies of developing or under transition countries, as well as with thw civil society agencies of these countries.

This collaboration aims at the fight against poverty, the improvement of the economic and social standard of living, the regaining of the lost social and cultural dignity of the population of the developing or under transition countries, in combination with the promotion and strengthening of their special cultural identity inside the international community.

These actions and programs cocer the area of the development, as well as, the urgent humanitarian and food assistance.
